This article is an examination on the nature of power.

Power is the ability to transform will into reality. The powerful have a greater capacity to impose their will on the world¹, and the not so powerful have a lesser capacity to do so.

It is natural for humans to desire power. Power provides one with the ability to acquire what one wants. On a higher level it empowers a person to achieve goals, dreams, and aspirations. On a more basic level it allows a person to satisfy basic needs such as food, water, and shelter.

Humans naturally have wants and needs and thus humans seek power to fulfill those wants and needs. But how does one acquire power? There are seven sources of power. Acquiring and building upon these seven sources of power is how one becomes powerful. Remember also that power begets power. Those with power can use it to fulfill what they desire, which often includes the desire for more power. Thus the acquisition or growth of one of these sources of power can aid in the acquisition or growth of other sources of power.
